This was the first full length video ever shown. My perfect E3 (and again, this is just me), would be Lost Odyssey 2, MechAssault 3 (still done in 3rd person and not turned in to some sort of Titanfall clone), Kameo 2, Ori and the Blind Forest 2, a new, exclusive fighting game, a new Crimson Skies that’s half traditional air combat and half Uncharted with the ability to fight on the ground and take to the air. Hopefully they can pull out a bunch of surprises, bring back not one or two, but several old, often requested IPs, as well as some new ones that aren’t smaller indy darlings, but the kind of AAA titles that made the industry swoon over what Sony has done so far in the first half of the year. Perfect has been popping up in rumors for quite some time, however, seems like developer Rare has just confirmed that Perfect Dark is indeed in development and will be revealed at Microsoft's E3. I know we’ll see more on Scorpio and that’s cool and all, but the big fear with MS right now is that we already know most of what they’re working on, and what they have still feels a bit light. Although Xbox Game Studios is publishing Perfect Dark, it is very much a Square Enix collaboration as The Initiative is a studio spearheaded by former Crystal Dynamics studio head, Darrell Gallagher. The last we heard about the Perfect Dark reboot is that Crystal Dynamics and The Initiative had joined forces for the project. With all the talk of their drought in first party titles, showing off multiplatform games won’t get the job done. Dark Ops is a round-based multiplayer mode with distinct rounds, a bunch of weapons, where you earn cash for kills, and is much like Counterstrike, only with different scenarios. E3 is no longer the only premiere game-centric event with Geoff Keighley's Summer Game Fest seeing a lot of success as an 'alternative' to E3. No problemo.Īs for MS’ I REALLY hope they bring the exclusive games. Oh well, if that one needs to be merged in to this one, so be it.
